PARENT INFORMATION:

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, Hoover City Schools will once again be sending out a link to complete On Line Registration.  Please ensure that your residency is up to date prior to May 1st.  If your lease is expired, a current lease will be required prior to receiving the On Line Registration link.  If your lease is month to month, a current utility bill will be required prior to receiving the link.

PTO HAPPENINGS:

     Our last PTO meeting for the school year is Friday, May 5th at 9:15.  Please join us.

UPCOMING TRY-OUT INFORMATION:

SMS CHEERLEADING

The SMS Cheer Clinics and Tryout dates will be as follows:

     Cheer Clinic – Monday, April 24th 3:30 – 5:00 (Lower Gym)

     Cheer Clinic – Tuesday, April 25th 3:30 – 5:00 (Lower Gym)

     Cheer Clinic – Wednesday, April 26th 3:30 – 5:00 (Lower Gym)

     Cheer Tryouts – Thursday, April 27th 3:30 – 7:00 (Lower Gym)

Mandatory Summer Camp: July 31st – August 3rd

 

SMS LADY BUCS BASKETBALL

Lady Bucs Basketball Tryouts will be held:

     Monday, May 1st

     Tuesday, May 2nd

     Wednesday, May 3rd 

Tryouts for the 2017-2018 7th & 8th Grade Girls Basketball Teams is open to all rising 7th and 8th Grade Girls. Tryouts will be held May 1st – 3rdfrom 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Each player must have a valid AHSAA physical and insurance card on file with the Athletic Office prior to participating in tryouts.

 

SMS BOYS BASKETBALL

Boys Basketball Tryouts will be held:

     Monday, May 8th

     Wednesday, May 10th

     Thursday, May 11th

Tryouts for the 2017-2018 7th & 8th Grade Boys Basketball Teams is open to all rising 7th and 8th Grade Boys.  Each player must have a valid AHSAA physical and insurance card on file with the Athletic Office prior to participating in tryouts.

Monday, April 24th SMS Outdoor Track

     Metro Championship @ Mountain Brook High School

     4:00 Field Events

     4:15 Running Events

UPCOMING HHS TRYOUT INFORMATION:

 

HHS BOYS BASKETBALL

Any rising 9th Graders interested in trying out for the HHS Bucs Basketball Teams, Summer Team Tryouts will be May 1st – May 3rd from 4:45 – 5:45in the HHS Competition Gym.  Each player must have a valid AHSAA physical and insurance card on file with the Athletic Office prior to participating in tryouts.

COMMUNITY SERVICE:

Community Service at SMS:

Students who earn at least 60 community service hours this year will be recognized during our Grade Level Awards Days in May.  Hours are to be documented on an orange community service card which can be found in the Grade Level Offices.  For more information or if you have any questions, please see your counselor.

For DEVICE REPAIR or SERVICE:

     STEP 1: Go to www.HCSELI.com and complete the online Service Request

     STEP 2: Have student bring their device to the 6th Grade Office

     STEP 3: Remember when paying Tech Fees with My School Fees to select the IT Department not Simmons

Please note that if you are placing a service request for a new student, you must have all information completed through InfoSnap before a device can be sent.

Community Services Cards will be due into your grade level counselor on May 12th.
