Conservation Club Applications

Conservation Club applications for interested 7th and 8th grade students are available in the 7th grade office.  If students like hiking, canoeing, learning about the environment and want to help with the school's recycling program, they should apply!  Deadline to turn in applications has been extended to Friday, September 22nd.  Turn them in to Mrs. White or Mrs. Harris.

Fall Picture Day is Wednesday, September 27th

Students will be taking their school portrait for the yearbook on this day, and picture proofs will be sent home for purchase a few weeks after.  These will be handed out in homebase classes.  If a student misses picture day, the makeup day is on October 11th

Pre Order your Simmons Yearbook before they are ALL GONE!

They are $50 and can be purchased through “My School Fees”, or you can send a check made out to Simmons to Mrs. Wood, our bookkeeper.  Remember, a yearbook is a piece of history, so buy yours today!

BUC$ Bounty Hunt

BUC$ BOUNTY HUNT deadline has been extended!  We want this to be our ONLY fundraiser of the year, but our goal has not been reached.  Currently, we have raised $14,186.86 for our BUC$ BOUNTY HUNT.  The deadline has been extended to September 20th.  HOWEVER, if we reach $15,000 by midnight on September 15th, in addition to student daily drawings, we will have special drawings for our teachers, as well.
We need your help!  100% of this money stays at SMS to fund needs this school year.

     Needs include:
          Library books
Positive behavior rewards for the entire student body
          PTO Grants

If teachers have a large need in their class, they can apply for a PTO grant.  Our goal is to fulfill all grant requests.
We want teachers to use classroom money to purchase smaller items, so they do not pay from their personal accounts.

Please log on to and donate today, or have your student turn a donation in to their homebase.  Let's finish strong, mateys!

Planet Fundraiser

If you shop at Publix and/or Piggly Wiggly weekly and have ever thought about joining Shipt, this might be the opportunity for you!  Shipt has offered Planet Fundraiser friends a discounted $79 annual membership. SMS will receive:

-$10 for every new Shipt membership received and uploaded to the Planet Fundraiser app until 09/30/17.
